Ms. Cleo Threats

Cleo was born on September 18, 1978 to the late Reverend Leo (Gertrude) Threats, Sr. She was a bundle of joy. The minute Leo saw her, he named her Ella Della Hella Mae Cleo Renae Threats, but while looking into her mom’s eyes, she said to her, “Don’t let him name me all those names. Just call me Cleo, after my dad.” She confessed to Christ at an early age under the late Reverend Redd, and joined Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained until death. She graduated from Louisiana Tech in 2015. She was working on early childhood education. Cleo was a person who loved everyone. She had a heart of gold and would never turn her back on anyone. She was loved unconditionally by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.

Cleo departed from us at Glenwood Regional Hospital on November 11, 2019. She was preceded in death by her father, Reverend Leo Threats, Sr., and her sister, Joyce Marie Threats. Cleo leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, TaKorriya Kyal (On’Junae) Threats, and Da’Shaun Trey’Von Threats; two grandchildren, Chloe and Ta’Kiya Threats, both of Monroe, LA; a loving mother, Gertrude Denise Threats (Thomas) Vettraino from Allen, Tennessee; one sister, Terrie Jean Robinson from Gary, IN and one sister/cousin, Annie Bell ( Deshun) Frost from Lake Providence, LA; eight brothers, Prentiss (Stephanie) Robinson from Fort Worth, TX, Bobby (Weonka) Jefferson from Marion, IN, Leo (Janice) Threats from Lake Providence, LA, Leroy (Kenisha) Threats from Lake Providence, LA, Michael (Jackie) Threats from Lake Providence, LA, Joseph (Nicole) Threats from Fort Worth, TX, and Clyde (Camilla) Threats from Houston, TX; one great-aunt, Johnnie Mae Thomas; six aunts, Ann McHenry and Mary Laffette from Milwaukee, WI, Betty (Morris) Thompson and Erma Kennedy, both from Lake Providence, LA, Sander Robinson from Gary, IN, and Helen (George) Fletcher from Lake Providence, LA; five uncles, Gosby (Ann) Robinson from Boston MA,  Irsarel C. (Louise) Robinson from Gary, IN, Gene (Linda) Robinson from Newark, NY, Joe Larry (Felisha) Robinson from Milwaukee, WI,  and Joseph Threats from Warren, OH; friends, Belarre B. J. Dawson and Simon Hootsell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
