A life built on love, peace, harmony, and faith in God ended on Thursday, January 23, 2020, at home with family love surrounding him.
God relieved his servant of his trials, tribulations, and suffering by calling him home for an eternal rest. Brother David Bangham, Jr., was born April 10, 1947 in Tallulah, Louisiana, to the late Martha Holmes and David Bangham, Dr.
David was a hard worker and a loving father. He worked for Lou Ripner Compass Furniture for 30 plus years, as a helper on the truck making deliveries with his brother, Lil Dave, until he retired in 2009.
Brother David is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Joyce Bangham; four sisters, Louise and Mary Bangham, Doretha Pollard, and Patricia Beverly; and five brothers, James Holmes, David Bangham, Ernest Beverly, Albert Beverly, and Isaac Beverly.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his wife, Shirley Ellis; four daughters, Jackie, Shulanda, Nicole, and Martha; two sons, David and Adam; six sisters, Florence Perry (Donald) of Tallulah, LA, Viola Cushenberry (Lafite), Vergie Beverly, Mildred Jackson, Diane Hawkins, and Lena Cole, all from New Orleans, LA; four brothers, Jerome Holmes and Willie Alexander from Waterproof, LA, and Ben and Freddie Beverly from New Orleans, LA; twenty-seven grandchildren, including twelve girls, Tawandalynn, Kiara, Samiyah, Anijha, Leah, Da’Jha, Da’Kirah, Kaylie, Carlisha, Carlita, Gregorinesha, and Felicia, and fifteen boys, Robert, Charles, Wayne, Amorrie, Jeremiah, Joshua, Adam, Jayceon, Terrell, Jerold, Adam, David, Kenneth, Donald, and Shawn; two special family friends, Bubba and Hans; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
