On Thursday, February 25 , 2021, in the early morning hours, while listening carefully, she heard God calling her name. She bade her family and friends farewell as she answered the call. She was given her crown and wings as she entered the heavenly gates. On this morning, Rosa stepped into one of the rooms in the Heavenly Father’s House. For those that she leaves behind, we must not mourn as those without hope, for she is gone to a great reward, promised to all who faithfully serve our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Rosa Lee Jordan was born on September 9, 1938, to Mr. and Mrs. Sherman (Olivia) Jordan in Concordia Parish, Louisiana. Her educational studies began at Thomastown School in Tallulah, Louisiana and continued for a period of time at Dillard University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Rosa accepted Christ at early age under the leadership of Pastor G.C. Coggs at Mt. Marriah #2 Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained a member until her passing. She was very active in church and served as the church secretary for 20+ years. During her active years, she sponsored many programs working with the youth.
