Willie James Brown, Sr., was born to proud parents, Janie and Eugene Brown, Sr. He accepted Christ at an early age. He was called to ministry under the leadership of Pastor Bennett. He later united with Ludden Chapel Baptist Church, where he remained until his transition.
He united in holy matrimony with his high school sweetheart, Ladde Brown, and they were blessed with four children.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Janie and Eugene Brown, Sr.; his wife, Lodde Brown; three brothers, Eugene Jr., and John and Willie Lee Brown; sister, Dorothy Brown Miller; and one great-grandchild, Carter Alexander Sullivan.
He leaves to cherish his memories: four children, Connie (Gregory) Moran, LaWanda Brown, Willie Brown, Jr., and Treva White, all of Monroe, LA; two brothers, Ledell (Betty) of Dallas, TX, and Robert Brown of Monroe, LA; three sisters, Lottie (Willie) of California, Harriet (Billie) of California, and Elizabeth (Glenn) of DeSoto, TX; nine grandchildren, Carnecia, Nakeydrea, Elisha, Rodrequis, Briant (Rebecca) of Houston, TX, Mariah, LaTeshia, NaKeshia, and Demonta; ten great-grandchildren, Abigail, Keontay, Caleb, Kaylan, Joshua Jr., Avah, Hannah, Hinkson, Mohogani, and Carter; one grand-goddaughter, Teryn Reed; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
