Altivese Hicks Obituary

Altivese “Redd” Brown Hicks was born on October 25, 1975 to the late Eddie and Gennie B. Harris Brown in Tallulah, Louisiana.

Altivese is an alumna of the little school with the BIG heart, Thomastown High School where she graduated with the GREAT class of 1994. She received her Associate Degree from Unitech Training Academy for Phlebotomy.

She was a member of Palestine M.B. Church under the leadership of Rev. Kenny Ramsey. Altivese later joined East Star M.B. Church under the leadership of Pastor Tommy Watson where she served as a member until she went to glory.

Altivese finished her race on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents Eddie and Gennie Brown, her grandparents Wilbert and Abbie Harris, her aunts Julia, Sadie and Willie Jean, her uncles Wilbert, Albert and William Harris, her sisters Otherene Johnson and Gracie Thompson, her God father Lonnie Jackson and her precious cousin Eric Jr.

Altivese leaves to cherish her loving memories companion Mr. Donnell Rose, her beautiful, smart and intelligent daughter Markeia (Keia), Alaysia (Lay Lay) and Ajuania (Jae) Hicks, her precious grandbabies Brayden (Bray), Addison (Addi Mo)  and Brayleigh (Tootlie)  Hick, her siblings Teresa, Mannix, Alvin (LaTrice) and Leonard Brown, her God mother Delores Jackson, her God siblings Lawana (Willie) Lindell, Melvin, Lionel and Gregory Jackson, her nieces Veronica (Gregory) Russell and LaTia Jackson, her nephews Christopher Marsh, Alvin Brown, Jr., Harold and Fredrick Johnson, Nijoal Lindell, her aunts Carolyn and Shirley Harris and Hazel Davis, her Uncles James “Hal” (Gwen), Eugene, Larry and Anthony Harris, her amazing friends Laketha Williams, Belverly Pope, Toshiba Bell-Jones, Kim Simon, Denika Fountain, Rachael Crawford and Ava Torrian, her favorite cousin Erica Ann, her God Children Chamariya Lee, Sierre and Serenity Horsely, Jerren Robinson, Jaylon and Jayden and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles and special friends.
