Mr. Charles Ray Dixon, 65 years of age, peacefully joined his parade of angels on Monday, August 13, 2019. Charles Ray was born November 29, 1953 to James, (Pap) and Ruby Dixon in Tallulah, Louisiana who preceded in death.
Charles Ray attended Madison Parish Public school district, graduating from Thomastown School with the class of “1972”. Charles Ray was a band member where he played clarinet, he enjoyed dancing and engaging in conversation with friends and family. After graduating high school, he briefly attended Northeast University in Monroe, Louisiana. Charles Ray returned home to Tallulah and gained employment at Kuhn Memorial Hospital in Vicksburg, Mississippi as an X-Ray technician, after seeking employment closer to home he worked at the Tallulah Compress Cotton Gin. Charles Ray relocated to Compton, California for a short period, after which he relocated to Vicksburg, MS. Finally making his way back to the place where he felt he always belong and that is home to Tallulah, Louisiana.
Charles Ray leaves to cherish his memory a host of first cousins, one whom was very special to him, Lena, (Adams) Sansberry, Shelby William, Compton, CA, McKinley Adams, Granada, MS, Cleotha Adams, Mesquite, NV, Carl Winzer, AKA, Bubba, Los Angeles, CA, Develon, Richardson, (Nickey), Plano, TX , Freddie Adams, Oklahoma, (city unknown), Malcolm Adams, Otis Lee, Orange, MA, Lois Love, Baton Rouge, LA, Annette Brown, Como, MS, Linda Wright, Albertine Reed, Loretta Taylor, Jeanette Taylor, Jackie Adams, Las Vegas, NV.
