Dominic Dandrell Henderson, 31, of Lake Providence, Louisiana, passed Saturday, May 25, 2019. Dominic was born to Gloria Washington and Kerrington Marshall, August 25, 1987, in Monroe, Louisiana. He was the first of four children. He was raised by his grandparents, the late Dan and Irena Henderson. Dominic accepted Christ at a young age.
Dominic relocated from Lake Providence, Louisiana, to Monroe, Louisiana, in 2012. He became employed with The Guest House of West Monroe in 2013 as a Certified Nurse Assistant Team Leader. Dominic had a passion for helping others in need. He was a dedicated employee of the Guest House and loved to work. Dominic spent most of his years working and providing for others. In his spare time, he enjoyed crafting and planning birthday parties for his nieces and nephews.
Dominic received his high school diploma from Lake Providence Senior High School in 2005 and was actively seeking his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Grambling State University. He was set to graduate in December 2019.
Dominic had no biological children of his own, but he cared for, provided for, and spoiled all of his nieces and nephews as if they were his own children: KorMyiah, Brenden, Morgan, Kenyeon Jr., Khloe, Dawson, and Caitlyn.
On the 25th of May 2019, Dominic was called to rest. Preceding him in death: grandmothers, Irena Henderson and Elvira Washington, and grandfather, Dan Henderson.
He leaves to cherish his sweet memories: mother, Gloria Washington; father, Kerrington Marshall; sisters, Koren W. Coleman (Kenyeon Sr., Daniska Washington (Cantrell), and Karneesha Newell; brother, Kerrington Washington (Sha’Ferrioka); godsister, Dana Carter-Jones; grandparents, Tommie Lee and Samuel Thomas; great-grandmother, Ethel Mae Foley; close friends, Courte’Na Carten and the Dee family; and a host of favorite cousins, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends whom he loved oh so much.
