Ernest Myles “Shorty and Papa” spirit became absent with the body on December 19, 2018, at the age of 84 years. He was born on June 15, 1934, to the late Perlie and Mary Myles in Hammond, Louisiana. He received his education in the Booker Settlement School System of Hammond, Louisiana. He later moved to Chicago, Illinois in his early 30s. In 1971, he moved to Tallulah, Louisiana where he resided until he departed this earth. He confessed Christ during the later years of his life and became a Seventh-Day Adventist. He worked at the City Barn for the City of Tallulah until retirement. He enjoyed traveling to Hammond, Amite, New Orleans, and Chicago to visit. He enjoyed spending time with family. He leaves to cherish his memories with a loving and dedicated granddaughter that he raised, Lolitha Phillips; a grandson that he raised, Malik Phillips; granddaughter, Tyorra McCladden; grandsons, Trevarnus Phillips and Tueotis McCladden Jr., all of Tallulah, LA; sisters, Edora Myles of New Orleans, LA and Vibla Harrison of Chicago, IL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
