On April 10, 1945, a beautiful baby girl was born to the late Mother Tillie B. Sims and Eugene “Snookin” Berry.
She confessed our Lord Jesus Christ at an early age. She was educated and graduated through Thomastown High School, “The little school with the big heart.”
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Esters, sons, Aaron Charles Esters and Jesse I. Esters, Jr.; her parents, grandparents, uncles, and aunts.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: three sisters, Barbara J. Fuller of Richmond, CA, Earlene Smith of Las Vegas, NV, and Hazel J. Suluki of Tallulah, LA; two brothers, Charles Johnson of Tallulah, LA, and Ronnie Cotton of Las Vegas, NV; daughters, Evelyn Yvette of Baltimore, MD, Cherie Chenell of Monroe, LA, Tillie Tawana of Tallulah, LA, Marilyn of Tallulah, LA, and Joyce of Huntsville, AL; sons, Gerald Rena of Tallulah, LA, Jesse I. Esters, III and Orlando, both of Monroe, LA; and, Glen of Baton Rouge, LA; two aunts, Dorothy Avance and Loretta Avance of South Bend, IN; 25 great-grandchildren; 15 grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, godsisters, godbrothers, friends, extended family, and a life-long friend, Ethel L. Pollard of Tallulah, LA.
