Deacon William Thompson was born on Dalkeith Plantation, September 9, 1933, to Will and Doshia Thompson. William confessed Christ at an early age and was a lifelong devoted member of Peter’s Rock Baptist Church, where he served faithfully as a Deacon. William was known for his quiet demeanor and sweet spirit. He was a kind, thoughtful, and generous man of few words who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. William worked at Firestone Department Store for many years and later was employed by the Madison Parish Police Jury until he retired in 2006. On the evening of December 5, God whispered, “Well done, good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:23). Preceding him to Glory were his loving wife, Arlean Thompson and a brother, Albert Thompson. Cherishing and celebrating William’s journey: Phillip (Torri) Thompson of Las Vegas, NV, Audrey S. (Clifton) Barber of Bedford, TX, Benjamin F. Brown of Kansas City, MO, Claudia B. Hawkins of Las Vegas, NV, and Thomas R. (Annie) Brown, Dexter L. (Sharon) Brown, and Debra B. (Lonnie) May, all of Tallulah, LA; one sister, Ennelia Thompson of Kansas City, MO; a brother, Michael W.
