Sarah Kelly

Sarah Lee Kelly was born on December 3, 1944 to the union of the late Louis Henderson and the late Mary Jane Kelly in Lake Providence, LA.

Sadie, as she was fondly called, accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and united with the First Missionary Baptist Church. She met a very special companion, the late Frank Jones, and to this union four children were born.

She was a sweet, kind and loving person whose main concern was caring for her children and grandchildren. Her favorite phrase whenever her children or grandchildren entered the room, she would ask, “You ate?” She enjoyed when the grandchildren would call and say, “Grandma, you cooked?” Sadie was loved by friends and family and she will be deeply missed.

Sadie was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Henderson and Mary Jane Kelly; one brother and one sister, James Henderson and Ruby Henderson; and two daughters.

She leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Sarah M. Kelly and Silva Kelly of Lake Providence, LA; two sons Darrell (Sharon) Kelly and Frank (Wanda) Kelly of Winnsboro, LA; three sisters, Gail Henderson-Felton, Loretta Colms, and Shirley Henderson; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
