Shamika Harris

Shamika Harris was born May 28, 1982, to the late Mrs. Teresa Harris and Henry Reed. She attended the public schools of East Carroll Parish and graduated from Lake Providence Sr. High in 2001. On August 17, 1991,  she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at Rosehill Missionary Baptist Church. Her faith was strong until her departure.

On May 8, 2019, the Lord called Shamika home to be with him. She was preceded in death by her mother, Teresa Harris, brother, Lavon Harris, paternal grandparents, Henry and Juanita Reed, maternal grandparents, Charles and Bernice McNeil, and aunt (second mom), Gloria King.

Those left to cherish her sweet memories are her father, Henry Reed; stepfather, Bobby Frith; eight sisters, Amanda Harris, Frelisha and Alisha Ford, Chavon Ford, Elizabeth Ford, Sha’Quita and Lashandra Reed, and Catherine Harris; brothers, Robert Clark and Jessie Harris; aunts, Pamela (Henry) Collins, Lisa (Albert) Randolph, Beatrice (Andolph) Martin, Patricia Profit, Mary (Wes) Davis, Alice Parrish and Gail Reed; uncles, Andrew (Emma) Tibbs, Elijah (Birdie) Murray, Frank (Mildred) Lucas, Carl (Mary) McNeil, Allen (Denise) Lucas, Lee McNeil, Charles McNeil and Jimmie Harris; four special cousins, Nakeisha Johnson, Lakeisha McNeil, Kimberly O’Neal and Dwayne Davis, along with many, many more; nieces, Saniya Carter and Kaniya Brown; nephews, Kayden and Jayden Gray and Dominique Brown.
