Clara Mae Winzer

Clara Mae Winzer was born January 29, 1961, in Lake Providence, LA, to the late Henry Winzer, Sr., and Frances Young.

Clara leaves behind seven children: Barbara (Anthony) Blackman of Monroe, LA, LaTesha Battle of Robinsonville, MS, Joyce Winzer (Dewayne King) of Zachary, LA, Justin Winzer, Jessica (Michael) Williams, Victoria Thomas of St. Joseph, LA, and Victor Thomas (Derrienice Hudson) of Natchez, MS.

She leaves behind three sisters and five brothers, Frank Newman of Winnboro, LA., Nehemiah Newman of Houston, TX, Howard (Sharon) Winzer of New Orleans, Henry Winzer, Jr., of Victorville, CA, Lelis Newman of Mangham, LA, Gertrude Newman of Mangham, LA, Diane Jahrent of Victorville, CA, Janet Winzer of Victorville, CA; she also leaves behind 13 grandchildren with one on the way, Jerry Shields, Jr., LaDarius Winzer, LaNikea Battle, Jacquese, Travis Cain, Tra’Mone Cain, MyKeera Williams, Justice Winzer, Michael Williams, Jr., Ahlexica Blackman, Makiyah Williams, LaMarcus Cox and Karter Cox; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Preceding in her death are three brothers, and one sister, Curtis Winzer, Nathaniel Newman, Henry Newman, and Jessie Mock.

She was a wonderful cook. Her greatest love was her children.
