MR. GEARY BASS

Brother Geary Earl “Black” Bass was born September 1, 1953 to the late Elzie Bass Sr. and Alice Bass in Newellton, La. He departed this life on February 8, 2020 at 7:05 p.m. at Houston Methodist Medical Center, after a lengthy illness.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, eight sisters, and three brothers. Two children Alice Danielle Bass, and Geary Earl Bass Jr.

He confessed to Christ at an early age and joined Magnolia Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Hank Mitchell. He met and married Inez Watson and to this union three children were born Geary, Bessie and Alice Bass.

Geary worked for the Tensas Parish Police until they moved to Houston where he worked for Exxon. He leaves to cherish his memories: his daughters, Bessie Bass of Saint Joseph, Louisiana and Courtney Foster of LaPlace Louisiana, and a nephew/son Tony Addison of Houston Texas; he also leaves two grandchildren, Madison Bass and Nicholas Foster.
