Obituary
Henry “Sonny” Haynes III was born April 18, 1951, in Tallulah, LA, to proud parents, Henry Haynes II and Mary (Thompson) Haynes. He was the oldest of four children.
Henry graduated from Reuben McCall Senior High School in 1969. Later he went to Vo-Tech in Monroe, LA, where he received his degree in automotive mechanics. Later, he began working for Coca-Cola Enterprises, where he retired after serving 30-plus years.
Henry Haynes accepted Christ on August 11, 1982, under the leadership of Pastor R.T. Strong of New Morning Star Baptist Church, where he became the Chief Usher and Sunday School teacher, and he continued serving in those roles until his death.
On October 16, 1982, he married Betty (Ford) Haynes, and in this union, three children were born, and he became a father of six children.
Henry was preceded in death by his father, Henry Haynes II, mother, Mary (Thompson) Haynes, one brother, Louis Haynes, and daughter, Shrondra (Beal) Jackson.
Henry leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Betty Haynes; two sisters, Hattie (Haynes) Lacy of Baton Rouge, LA, and Mary (Haynes) Edwards of Texas; four sons, Henry Haynes IV (Elthelena), Micheal Ford (Betty) of Vicksburg, MS, Charles Beal, and Lee Andrew Beal (Kizzy); five daughters, Jennifer (Haynes) Mock (Patrick), Taylor Haynes, Annie Beal (Fletcher), Elisha Beal (Jerry), and Arlean Dunn, all of Tallulah, LA; fourteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two nieces, Melanie Haynes of Baton Rouge, LA, and Gabriel Edward of Texas; nephew, Christopher Haynes of Spokane, WA; three special friends, Sammy Hunter, James Howard, and Kenneth Williams; and a host of other family and friends.
