MRS. ANGELENA WILLIAMS-BARBER Obituary

Born the eighth child of fifteen children to Henry and Ethel Williams, this beautiful angel from God looked so angelic that it was destined that she would be named “Angelena”. She departed this world on January 16, 1972, at E.A. Conway in Monroe, LA.

Having been reared by two of the Greatest Warriors of God, she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized in 1981 by the late Reverend L.H. Harris, Sr., at the city baptismal pool in Tallulah. Becoming a member of the First Colored Missionary Baptist Church.

Angelena was a big contributor in the church while here on her earthy journey. She served as a choir member, as Vice President, Youth Committee Member, and served on the culinary committee.

On April 29, 2006, she was united in Holy Matrimony to Toney Barber. Before and during this union, they reared thee children; one girl, two boys, and a godchild. Her marriage to her beloved husband spanned 13 years and nine months until her passing on January 29, 2020.

On January 29, 2020, when life’s tolls had ended, our sweet angel embarked upon a richer and fuller life beyond the “unseen shore”

She leaves to cherish her memories: a devoted husband, Toney Barber; three children she helped rear, Royree Alexander, Daquarius Barber, and James Stewart; one godchild, Courtney Perkins, Jr.; one special niece, Adexta Williams; three grands, Xavier Alexander, Azayla Davis, and Jha’Ziya Stewart; her parents, Pastor and Mrs. Henry and Ethel Williams; mother-in-law, Mother Barbara Kline; grandmother-in-law, Ms. Eddie B.
