MR. WALLACE BASS

Mr. Wallace James Bass Sr., son of the late Elize Bass Sr. and Mary Alice Bass was born July 6, 1947 in Newellton, Louisiana. He accepted Christ on May 3, 2017 at the Magnolia Baptist Church in Newellton, LA where he served as a dedicated member. He was united in holy matrimony to Flora Tyler Bass on May 14, 1970. This union was blessed with two children: Claudette and Brandon Bass.

Mr. Bass worked for the Tensas Parish Police Jury for 48½ years retiring in 2017 as road crew supervisor. He quietly departed this life Friday, February 7, 2020 at the St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, LA.

He was preceded in death by 1 daughter, 8 sisters and 3 brothers.

 He leaves to cherish his memories a beautiful wife of 49½ years Flora Bass. Six children: Claudette and Brandon Bass, Michael and Yolanda Jackson of Newellton, LA; Wallace Bass Jr. and Anthony Mark Bass of Las Vegas, NV. Two aunts: Rose Lee Jackson and Johnnie Mae Brandon of Las Vegas, NV. Four sister-in-laws: Yvonne (Leon) Moses of Newellton, LA, Henrietta Hardy and Stephanie Guy of Tallulah, LA and Altrena Randle of Monroe, LA. Two brother-in-laws: Cornelious (Belinda) Guy of Tallulah, LA and David (Clara) Guy of Lake Providence, LA. Special cousin: Leon “Tucky” Moses Jr., Special family friends: Mary Clark and Vance Herring and as he always called HIS FAVORITE THREE (Altrena Randle, Pamela Addison and Chiquita Hardy), which were the last voices he had to hear saying it’s okay before he took his rest; Thirteen grandchildren, one great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
