Obituary
The lives of Kimberly Skipper and Leo Abby were blessed on January 6, 1995. On that day, Zachary Ryan Abby was born into the world. For the last 26 years, Zachary has fulfilled the purpose God predestined for him. In life, Zachary touched the lives of a vast amount of people: rich, poor, young, old, black, white, friends and family. In death, Zachary will still be touching and impacting lives; he was an organ donor and can save or help repair 75 other people.
Zachary was born January 6, 1995, in Saginaw, MI, at Saginaw General Hospital. He transitioned February 15, 2021, at Hurley Medical Center, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was baptized at Zion Baptist Church, Saginaw, MI, by Rev. Rodrick Smith, later moving his membership to Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Monroe, LA, under the leadership of Rev. Ike Byrd III. Zachary was a 2013 graduate of Neville High School in Monroe, LA. Zachary attended elementary and middle schools in Saginaw Public and Grand Blanc Public Schools (Michigan). He was currently attending Mott Community College in Flint, MI. Zachary lived…laughed…participated…enjoyed.
Zachary leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Kimberly (Christopher) Davis of Prosper, TX; father, Leo Abby of Kincheloe, MI; grandparents, Louis and Lennie Skipper of Monroe, LA, Madie Harrow of Saginaw, MI, and Leo Boose of Saginaw, MI; aunts, Doris T. Lee of Monroe, LA; nieces, Aubrie and Alise Leach of Tampa, FL; bonus sisters and brothers, Simone Lynch of Dallas, TX, Terry Lynch II of Seminole, OK, and Cary Gill of Saginaw, MI; special friends, Hannah Boss of Grand Blanc, MI, Jordan Kennedy of Austin, TX, Ethan Tully of Mer Rouge, LA, Killian Ballinger and Patrick Northern of Flint, MI; stepfather, Derrick Lee, Sr., of Flint, MI; stepsisters, Derrinesha Lee of Greenville, MS, and Shatrice Lee of Flint, MI; stepbrothers, Derrick Lee, Jr., of Flint, MI, and Christopher and Joshua Davis of Pensacola, FL.
Zachary leaves many additional aunts, uncles, cousins, other family, and friends to cherish his memory. The absence of your name in no way diminishes the love and respect Zachary had for you, nor the love, care, support, encouragement, and motivation you had for him.
Zachary was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Louis and Onnie Bell Skipper, Nina Mae Lynch, and Thomas Lynch, as well as a great-uncle, Jesse Lynch.
Special thanks to the Hurley ICU doctors, nurses, and staff, with special thanks to his nurses, Ashley, MaryBeth, Kimberly, and Bridgette.
