Sharon Denise Grimes was born February 18, 1973, in Delhi, Louisiana, to Herman Jones and Sweetie Grimes-Jones. To this union, one child was born. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Zion Pilgrim Baptist Church.
She departed this life on January 27, 2020 at 12:05 a.m. at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, Louisiana.
She started her work at McCall High School as a secretary from 1998 to 2005 in Tallulah, Louisiana. She then moved to Monroe, Louisiana, and became a Guidance Clerk at Carroll Jr. High from 2006 to 2009.
She is preceded in death by the late Flanders and Hattie Hendrix, Johnny and Sibble Grimes, and a number of aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Sharon was a devoted single mother who sacrificed so much for her children and grandchildren whom she loved so dearly. She now leaves behind her three children, Jason (Mercedeez) Coleman Jr., Gabrielle Jackson, and Miyauna Grimes; her two grandchildren, Jason Coleman III and Jaxon Coleman; and her siblings, Anthony Lewis, Tabitha Jones, Jarivous Jones and God son Zach Winston.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her children, grandchildren, other family, and friends.
