Mr. Ahnyren Cole

 Ahnyren “Ace” Jaylon Cole was born on September 3, 2013, in Monroe, LA, to Jalessa Jakes (Devonski Banks) and Joshua Cole. Ace was welcomed home by his other siblings in a home of love. At ten months, Ace was diagnosed with neuroblastoma and thus began a battle he won on September 16, 2020, at Children’s Hospital, surrounded by his family and the staff who had become more like family. Ace had battled for years with short amounts of downtime that were always spent being loved on with his parents and siblings. Ace was able to encourage and inspire everyone he encountered. He never met a stranger and instantly was loved by everyone. On September 15th, at home with family, Ace became ill once again and was quickly taken to Children’s Hospital. Ace, in his fight with cancer, had endured thousands of procedures. He won his final war at 3:37 p.m., September 16, when he transitioned back to be with God and become our guardian angel. Ace was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Linda Smith; uncle, Jarmal Jones; brother, Christian Cole; and aunt, Brenda Smith Frazier. Ace leaves to cherish his life: his parents, Jalessa Jakes, and Devonski Banks, and Joshua Cole; his only sister, McKenzie Cole; his brothers, LaMario Wilson, Joshua Cole IV, Jamin Rollins, Jamir Rollins, Khyren Rollins, Jadain Cole, and Ayden Meadows; his grandparents, Antonie (Kimberly) Jakes of Saginaw, MI, Demetrice Ward of Tallulah, LA, and Helen Banks of Beulah, MS; great-grandmothers, Gertrue Smith of Newellton, LA, and Annie Cole of Tallulah, LA; two special cousins, Shy Shy Drummer of Beulah, MS, and El’Marlon “EJ” James of Tallulah, LA; godmother, Kira Tillman; godbrother, Jousha Robinson; godsister, Shamaria Sanders; special caregiver, Mrs. Erma Johnson; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, other family and friends. “ACE” I am at Peace, my soul’s at rest. There is no need for tears, for, with your Love, I was so blessed for all these years.
