Obituary
Mr. Donell Hargrove was born on December 7, 1959 to Cleora and Haze Hargrove in Kilmichael, Mississippi.
He passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at Delhi Hospital.
He accepted Christ early in life and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
Donell graduated from Ruben McCall Senior High School, where he was a proud member of the band.
After graduation, he served honorably in the United States Marines and traveled the world. While in the Marines, he started his career in nursing, which he truly loved and had a heart and compassion to prove it.
After leaving the Marine Corp., Donell continued to serve the people of Tallulah through an extended nursing career at Madison Parish Hospital.
He was a prominent member in the churches and was often sought after to bless his family, friends, and co-workers with his smile, voice, love, spirit, and anointing from God, which he carried daily. He was such a loving and caring person who would light up the whole room with his presence.
And let’s not forget he could dress like he just stepped out of a magazine - always sharp. Donell was loved by all that knew him and if you look around today, you will see just that love.
Donell was preceded in death by: his mother, Cleora Hargrove; his father, Haze Hargrove; sisters, Ruth Lee Hargrove and Hazel Lee Hargrove; and brother, Bobby Hargrove.
He leaves to cherish his memories: sister, Arlean Stubblefield of Dallas, TX; four brothers, J.V. and Wilson of Tallulah, Billy Wayne and his wife, Priscilla, Hargrove of Dallas, TX, and Billy Ray of Clinton, MD; sister-in-law, Jessie Hargrove of Tallulah; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and Special friends.
