Frank was born January 6, 1951, in Elyria, OH, to the late Vera and Leonard S. Griffin, Sr. Frank was the oldest of ten children. He later moved to Lake Providence, LA, where he received his educational training.
Frank met his wife in June of 1987. He was united in holy matrimony on June 16, 1990, to Lavon McCray of Chicago, IL. To this unity, they were blessed with ten children; seven sons and three daughters.
He was a very loving and devoted grandfather, great-grandfather, and husband. After 32 years, he retired from U.S. Corp of Engineering, and he loved to farm.
He departed this life on November 1, 2020. He was preceded in death by his loving mother and father, Vera Brown Griffin and Leonard S. Griffin, Sr.; and two sisters, Naomi (Griffin) Lewis and Elizabeth Foulks.
He leaves to mourn his death: seven sons, David (Beverlyn) McCray of Chicago, IL, Christopher Perry, Jr., and Jeremy Rodgers, both of Lake Providence, LA, Maintrell Rodgers, Darius Lloyd, and Levell Cribbs, all of Monroe, LA, and David McCray, Jr., of Ft. Worth, TX; three daughters, Bridgett (Leronne) McCray-Pegues of Springfield, IL, Mollie Winters of Oak Grove, LA, and Shanequa (V.J.) McCray Fletcher of Ft. Worth, TX; three brothers, Leonard J. Griffin, Jr., Kenny Griffin, and Paul Foulks; sisters, Elinor G. Greely, Phametta G. Turner, and Penelope R. Brooks; and a host of nephews, nieces, and relatives.
He leaves his footprints on the lives of his most cherished possessions: grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
