Mr. Johnny Robinson Sr.

Obituary On August 23, 1920, Johnny Robinson, Sr., was born to proud parents, Robert Robinson, Sr., and Katie Dotson Robinson, both of Tensas Parish. Johnny lived the majority of his life in Madison Parish, where he married the late Dorothy Mae Whitaker. Johnny was an avid truck driver, but hauling logs was his passion. Johnny Robinson, Sr., was preceded in death by his parents: Robert Sr., and Katie Robinson; his wife, Dorothy Mae Robinson; two sons, Jessie Robinson and Eddie Ellis; one daughter, Bobbie Jean Carroll; two sister, Lizzie Riggs and Sylvia Robinson; seven brothers, Jim, Clyde, Mose, David, Robert Jr., George, and Joseph Robinson, Sr. He leaves to cherish his memories: one sister, Katie Farmer of Katy, TX; six daughters, Willie Mae Robinson, Doris (Mack) Johnson, Georgette Moore, and Jo Ann (Larry) Harvey, all of Tallulah, LA, Mary Ann (Al) Bartie of Monroe, LA, and Patricia (Sylvester) Robertson of Vicksburg, MS; and seven sons, Bennie Robinson, Willie Lee (Joan) Robinson, Frank Robinson, Johnny (Tonia) Robinson, Sr., and Calvin (Tonya) Robinson, all of Tallulah, LA, Tony (Jackie) Robinson of Delhi, LA, and Calvin (Tracy) Vaughn of Waco, TX. He also leaves to cherish his memories: one special granddaughter that he raised as his own, Lashonda (Roy) Wilkerson of Tallulah, LA; forty-nine grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
