Mr. Lavelle Davis Obituary

Lavelle “Bill” Davis was born June 28, 1971, in Oak Grove, LA, to the late Roosevelt V. Glass and the late Catherine D. Quinn. He was the oldest of twelve children. He accepted Christ at an early age, and became a deacon at the First Colored Missionary Baptist Church in Tallulah, LA, in 2005, under the leadership of the late Reverend Roosevelt England. Bill was fun to be around, full of life, and always the comedian of the party. He was often referred to as Bernie Mac, because he would always find a way to make whoever was around him laugh, regardless of what was going on. He never held anything back; he would always let you know what was on his mind. Bill loved his family and fishing. He especially enjoyed fishing with his Aunt Zene and Ozell. He would always try to out-fish them, though he never could. On December 27, 2019, Lavelle Bill Davis gained his wings. He was preceded in death by his parents: James and Catherine D. Quinn, and his father, Roosevelt Glass. He leaves to cherish his memories: his beloved for nearly 20 years, Jean Parker; children, Shaniqua D. Maloy (Heath) of Dallas, TX, Lavelle Spencer (Natasha Hines) of Dallas, TX, ShaMicheal Williams (Jasmine Doaty) of Monroe, LA, Thierry Powell of Lake Providence, LA, and Kendamien Johnikin of Dallas, TX; 12 grandchildren; siblings, Anna Glass-Scales (Orlando) of Dallas, TX, Roosevelt Glass, Jr., of Baton Rouge, LA, Carl Glass (Monareka) of Monroe, LA, Norman Green of Dallas, TX, William Green of Baytown, TX, Catherine Green of Monroe, LA, David Green of W.
