Obituary

Leon Moses Jr was born February 15, 1949, to the late Leon Moses Sr and Elizabeth J. Moses in Tensas Parish, Louisiana. Preceding him in death were: his parents, his brother Donald, his sister Brenda and his grandparents.

Tucky entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 30, 2023, with his family beside him. He was such an outstanding nice man who loved and welcomed everybody. The community is going to miss him dearly; he always loaned a helping hand. He and his wife were married for fifty years. He was a member of the Magnolia Baptist Church and New Hope Lodge #206. Tucky enjoyed watching the New Orleans Saints Football Team, The Skip and Shannon Show, and watching his Grandkids play sports, his son coaching football and basketball, and Westerns, for sure, and word find puzzles. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and farming.

Tucky went to school and worked in Tensas Parish his whole life. He worked for the Tensas Parish Police Jury starting at an early age and worked there for fifty years and two months until retiring in August 2016.

Tucky leaves to mourn a large family- his wife Yvonne, two sons Shedrick (LaTasha) and Justin (Morgan, whom Tucky called Big Mama), and his grandchildren Seyvion and Skyler. His very special nephew Pete Burden, very special cousin Dawan Moses, cousins Alvin Bass Jr & Sr, Michael “Captain Jack” Jackson, John “Stick” Bellows, Aletha Mae Carter, Johnnie B. Gholston, Walter “Buzzy” Moses, and Rev. Willie Moses, and friend, Jack McMillin.

Also survived by his sisters Deloris, Patricia, Elizabeth, Beverly (Pete), Carmen, and Monica; his brothers Al (Karen), Jon, and Keith (Candice); his nephews Benson (Brande), Lenard, Philip, Sr, Tyson, Charles, and Tyler; his nieces Chiquita, Chikyla, Carmel, Sinclaire, Jamila, Brianna, and Sydney; his inlaws: sisters-in-law: Henrietta, Stephanie, and Altrena, brothers-in-law: Cornelius and David and hisTensas family Flora, Claudette, and B. Bass. Many great nieces, nephews, and cousins. All will miss a great friend and confidante.

He is the Rock, his work is perfect:

For all his ways are judgment:

a God of truth and without iniquity,

just and right is he.

Deuteronomy: 32: 4
