John and Zenobia Beasley had the profound privilege and unique experience of being the parents of Nathaniel Louis Beasley, Sr., who was born on January 17, 1977.
Nathaniel was the baby of eight children. He was born in Tallulah, Louisiana, and raised in Thomastown, Louisiana. He was educated at Thomastown High School, where he graduated with Class of 1995. He played basketball with the mighty Thomastown Panthers boys’ basketball team.
Immediately following graduation from high school, he began his career with Louisiana Downs, where he worked for the company for over twenty years. Nathaniel was one of a kind and a joy to be around. Whether you called him Nathaniel, “Big Bone”, “Bone”, “Boo Boo”, or “Daddy”, to know him was to love him. His generosity spread far beyond the borders of the family.
Preceding him in death: John Richard Beasley, Jr., mother Zenobia Audrey Beasley, brother, Calvin Allen, sister, Ann Marie Nelson, and son, Nathaniel Louis Beasley, Jr.
Left to cherish the memories of a life well-lived: a special friend, Keisha Lavonne Hendon of Tallulah, Louisiana; his daughters, Brianna Wilmore, Zakiya Beasley, Zacarrien Beasley, and Keanna Hendon, all of Tallulah, Louisiana; his brothers, Richard Allen of Tallulah, Louisiana, John (Della) Beasley III of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Wayne Beasley of Tallulah, Louisiana. Donald Beasley of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Joseph Beasley, Sr., of Tallulah, Louisiana; and a host of extended family and friends.
