Mr. Rickey Lynch Obituary

Rickey Dean Lynch, affectionately known as “Pa-Pa,” was born February 5, 1960 to the proud union of Otha Lynch and Alice B. Lynch in Newellton, LA.Rickey (Dean) confessed Christ as his Lord and Savior in 2003, and he was baptized at the Saint Luke Baptist Church in Newellton, LA. He joined in Christian fellowship with Magnolia Baptist Church, under the pastoralship of Reverend Willie Moses. Rickey (Dean) served as an usher for several years, until he took on the duty of being a deacon, where he served faithfully and proudly until his transition to his heavenly home.

Rickey (Dean) was a pillar to his community, and he was loved and respected by both the old and young. He touched the lives of many of our youths in the community. He never met a stranger, and he was always willing to lend a helping. He was the co-owner of J&R’s Detailing Shop in Newellton, LA. He also resided in Bossier City, LA for several years and was employed at Willis Knighton Medical Center. In April 2009, he and his wife helped to sponsor the Newellton Community Youth Choir. He organized “A Few Good Men and Women” as well as other organizations that helped with the betterment of his community.  He enjoyed being with family and friends and inviting them over to one of his famous “Cookouts”. It was all done in love, but there was one thing you did not do around him: talk against the Dallas Cowboys!!!! He and his wife were both die heart fans of the Dallas Cowboys.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Otha and Alice Lynch; two siblings, Irma Lynch and Alice South; and two special brothers-in-law, Rex Marshall and Charles South.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife of 32 years, Eliza “Dee Dee” Lynch of Newellton, LA; three sons, Earnest Spillman (Pasty) of St. Joseph, LA, Camille Clark of Las Vegas, NV, and Rickey Lynch, Jr. (Alexis), of Newellton, LA; one daughter, Deaner Johnson (Robert) of Newellton, LA; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Johnnie B. Gholston of Newellton, LA and Votika Lynch of Monroe, LA; three brothers, Otha Lynch (Vicki) of St. Joseph, LA, Burton Lynch (Evangelist Tammy) and Reginald Lynch (Nana), both of Winnsboro, LA; a very special uncle and aunt, John Lynch (Doris) of Vallejo, CA and Irma Gayles of Newellton, LA.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
