Roosevelt Williams was born to the parentage of the late Gus and Carrie P. Williams of St. Joseph, LA. He attended Rosenwald High School in St. Joseph. He was a heavy equipment operator for over twenty-five years and landscaper until most recently.
Roosevelt was a provider. He was most known for his hard work and perfectly manicured lawns. He will be missed dearly.
He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Lubertha and Christine Williams, 1 brother, Joseph Williams, and one special niece, Donna Williams.
Roosevelt leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Betty Stacker Williams; 5 children, Linda “Peroni” Stacker, Roosevelt “Punkin” Stacker, Jr., the twins Helen and Annie Williams (all of Tallulah, LA), and Carrie Roeshele Williams (Grambling, LA); 10 grandchildren, Eric Stacker, Roosevelt Smith, Fredrick Smith, Jeremy Williams, Jarvis Williams, Diamond Williams, Marquis Stacker, Jordan Williams, Erik Williams, and Journi Douglas; and 15 great grandchildren.
He also leaves to cherish his memory: 4 brothers, Howard “Gus” (Fannie) Williams, Clyde Williams, Leon Williams (all of Tallulah, LA), and Calvin (Jackie) Williams (Bossier, LA); 3 sisters, Verdia Dee, Wanda (James) Williams (both of Tallulah, LA), and Audrey Williams-Tucker (Natchez, MS); 1 special nephew, Kenneth (Gloria) Williams; 1 aunt, Annie Mae Henderson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
