Terry Bryant was born November 28, 1963, to
the late Mable Bryant and Louis Hamilton.
He confessed Christ at an early age at Stonewall Baptist Church and
remained a faithful member until his departure. Terry graduated from Newellton
High School in 1981 and moved to Las Vegas, NV, for several years. He returned
home in 2008. Terry worked at Hardwick Plantation until his health failed.
Terry enjoyed watching westerns, riding around town
with his friends, and eating his favorite food, chicken. He also enjoyed and
cherished his visits with his granddaughter, Kamryn.
Terry departed this life May 23, 2021, at Landmark
Nursing Home in West Monroe, LA. He was preceded in death by: his parents,
Mable Bryant and Louis Hamilton; maternal grandparents, Hattie and Arthur
Bryant (who reared him); paternal grandparents, Wilburn Hamilton and Johnny
Jones; special cousins with whom he was reared, James Bryant and Michael
Bryant; four aunts; and four uncles.
He
leaves to cherish his memories: a loving daughter, Chasity Brown of Winnsboro,
LA; grandchild, Kamryn Brown of Winnsboro, LA;
three sisters, Alana (Eddie) Douzart of Monroe, LA, Christe (Octavis)
Poe of Austin, TX, and Kaynala Baker of Prosper, TX; two brothers, Michael
(Romonia) Jenkins of Baton Rouge, LA, and Ronnie Bryant of Las Vegas, NV;
eleven aunts, Doretha Alexander (loving and devoted caregiver) of Newellton,
LA, Catherine (Terry) Jones of St Joseph, LA, Dorothy Hooks of Gardena, CA,
Berteal Jackson of Las Vegas, NV, Hattie Wells, Gloria Mathews, Roberta
Philips, Shirley Bryant of Ann Arbor, MI, Georgette Britton of Tallulah, LA,
Ophelia Calvin of Dallas, TX, and Julia Pearre of Jonesboro, LA; five uncles,
Greg Williams (Eva) of Grambling, LA, Barry Hamilton of Grambling, LA, Michael
Jones of Oakland, CA, Leon Brooks(Helen), and Martin Bryant (Tina), both of St.
Joseph, LA; four cousins who were reared as his brothers and sisters, James
(Cris) Alexander of Las Vegas, NV, Richard (Cynthia) Bryant of Laurel, MS,
Deborah (Alvin) Bass of Newellton, LA, and Beverly Bryant of Las Vegas, NV;
five nephews; six nieces; and a host of relatives and friends.
