Obituary
Virge Washington, Sr., was born on August 24, 1956, to the late Elvira Hawkins Washington and the late Harvey Washington, Sr.
He attended public school in Lake Providence, Louisiana and graduated in 1974. He worked for the Corp of Engineers for several years. After retirement, he began his own construction business.
He confessed Christ at an early age.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Elvira Hawkins Washington; father, Harvey Washington, Sr.; and two sisters, Virginia Green and Margie Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his memories: life-long friend, Carla Hawkins; two sons, Roderick Washington of New Orleans, LA, and Virge Washington, Jr., of Houston, TX; one stepson, Andre’ Davis of New Orleans, LA; two grandchildren, Khloe Washington and Kendric Hopkins; one great-granddaughter, Kenya Hopkins; four sisters, Carrie Washington and Tommie (Samuel) Thomas, both of Lake Providence, LA, and Daisy (Dave) Butler and Amy (Felix) Bynum, both of New Orleans, LA; two brothers, Harvey Washington, Jr., of McGee, AR, and Jerry Hawkins of Lake Providence, LA; and host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
