Wade L. Jackson, resident of Tallulah, Louisiana, went home to be with the Lord on July 28, 2020, at 100 years old.
Wade was born on November 8, 1919, in Newellton, Louisiana, where he was raised and educated. Wade served in the United States Army (Germany) for several years. After serving in the military, Wade worked at Chicago Mill and Lumber Company in Tallulah, Louisiana until he retired. After retirement, he became a recycling entrepreneur for many years. Wade had a genuine love for his family and friends. He served faithfully as an usher and member of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church for over sixty years.
Wade was predeceased by: his parents, Wade and Doella Jackson; his first wife, Beulah Jackson; his siblings, Inez Gales, Mildred Mayberry, Brutus Jackson, Sr., Lee Rogers, and Doella Wesley; and his daughter, Juanita (Phillipe) Dejour.
Wade’s legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of his loving wife, who spoiled him for over 30 years, Ms. Earlene Jackson; and his children, Rosevelt Washington, Josie Gammage, Arthur Pearl, Wade Jackson III, Jimmie Jackson, Anna Jackson, and Gezelle (Wilfred) Glass; along with his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Wade was truly a blessed man and will be sincerely missed by all.
