Willie Lee Green was born on July 24, 1963, in Monroe, Louisiana, the only son born to Thelma Louise Williams and Willie Lee Green, Sr. He departed this life on Sunday, January 17, 2021.
Willie attended MCcall High School and the Job Corps. Willie was briefly married and divorced while residing in Dallas, Texas. He confessed Christ at a young age under the late Pastor George Barber of St. Luke M.B. Church, Newellton, Louisiana.
Willie leaves: his daughter, Vershondra Shepard of Irving, Texas; two grandchildren, Ryian Cheeter and Jhorden Cobb; sister, Sharon (Michael) Jackson of Tallulah, Louisiana; aunts, Joan Grayson, and Shirley (James) Howard, both of Tallulah, Louisiana, Rosietta Miller of Harvey, Louisiana, and Annie Taylor of Copperas Cove, Texas; uncles, Johnny O. Sanders and John Nash, Jr., both of Tallulah, Louisiana; nieces, Vershondra (Timothy) Puckett of Monroe, Louisiana, Rashadda (Michael) Lewis, and Tara (Mecca) Gray, both of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Katelyn Jackson; nephews, Joshua Jackson of Fresno, California, Vince Long of Dallas, Texas, VaKendall Long of Monroe, Louisiana, and Willie Long III, and Christian Jackson, both of Tallulah, Louisiana; and a host of great-nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Willie was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Louise Graves; sister, Glenda Diane Long; and his grandmother, Rosetta Sanders.
