Mrs. Bernestine Thompson Obituary

Obituary

On May 9, 1940, Bernestine Earl was born in St. Joseph, LA, to the late Ellen and Willie Earl. She was the second of ten children. She confessed Christ at an early age and was an active member at Guilfield, under the leadership of Pastor Ernest Newman in St. Joseph, LA, until her untimely departure from Earth.

She attended Tensas High School in St. Joe. She was married to the late George Thompson.

On May 22, 2020, she heard God’s voice that said, “Come, my child. Your mansion is ready,” so she gave God her hand, and they walked peacefully into Heaven.

Bernestine was preceded in eternal life by her husband, George Thompson; her mother, Ellen Gray; father, Willie Earl; her sister, Hellen Snowden; and five brothers, Wilbert, Clyde, James (Puddin), Larry (Ray), and Albert.

She leaves to cherish her legacy and memories: her one and only son, Kermet Thompson; two sisters, Mildred Lewis (Noris) of New Orleans, and Lorenzia Mire of Tallulah, LA; one brother, Willie Earl of Tallulah, LA; two grandkids, Karmen and Karmesha; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-grandkids, and friends.
