Barbara “Bobbie” Louise Robinson Henderson was born in Alexandria, LA, on
February 9, 1955, to the late Emma Lee Robinson and Leonard Dupar, Sr. She
began her life in Simmesport, LA, where she received her formal education. She
later moved to East Carroll Parish, where she attended school and became a
member of Central Baptist No. 2 Church under the leadership of the late
Reverend Gus Lee. She also served as a member of the New Hope Baptist Church
Choir.
Bobbie,
as she was affectionately called, met and married Ronald Keith Henderson in
1980. She was an excellent daughter, mom, and awesome grandmother to all of her
grandchildren and to those that became to love her as “Granny Bobbie.” Bobbie
enjoyed cooking, dancing, listening to music, and singing with her lovely
voice.
Bobbie is
preceded in death by: her parents, the late Emma Robinson and Leonard Dupar,
Sr., and her son, Dominique Andre Robinson. She leaves to cherish her memories:
five daughters, Stephanie Robinson (Dewayne) of Monroe, LA, Rochelle Robinson
of New Orleans, LA, Tara Robinson (David) of Lake Providence, LA, RaeKeisha
(Willie) Thomas of Irving, TX, and Myisha (Earl) Whitty of Lake Providence, LA;
one brother, Elbert Charles Robinson of Lake Providence, LA; grandchildren,
Brandon Robinson, Keldrick Robinson, Raven Threats, Aaliyah Robinson, Fredrick
Robinson, Laila Johnson, Labron Johnson, Simiya Whitty, and Colin-David
Anderson, Jr.; two godchildren, Sandra and Willie Hootsell; fourteen great-grandchildren;
and a host of close cousins who were raised together and considered brothers
and sisters.
