Mrs. Bobbie Henderson Obituary

“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 8:38-39

Sister Barbara “Bobbie” Louise Robinson Henderson was born in Alexandria, LA, on February 9, 1955, to the late Emma Lee Robinson and Leonard Dupar, Sr. She began her life in Simmesport, LA, where she received her formal education. She later moved to East Carroll Parish, where she attended school and became a member of Central Baptist No. 2 Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Gus Lee. She also served as a member of the New Hope Baptist Church Choir.

Bobbie, as she was affectionately called, met and married Ronald Keith Henderson in 1980. She was an excellent daughter, mom, and awesome grandmother to all of her grandchildren and to those that became to love her as “Granny Bobbie.” Bobbie enjoyed cooking, dancing, listening to music, and singing with her lovely voice.

Bobbie is preceded in death by: her parents, the late Emma Robinson and Leonard Dupar, Sr., and her son, Dominique Andre Robinson. She leaves to cherish her memories: five daughters, Stephanie Robinson (Dewayne) of Monroe, LA, Rochelle Robinson of New Orleans, LA, Tara Robinson (David) of Lake Providence, LA, RaeKeisha (Willie) Thomas of Irving, TX, and Myisha (Earl) Whitty of Lake Providence, LA; one brother, Elbert Charles Robinson of Lake Providence, LA; grandchildren, Brandon Robinson, Keldrick Robinson, Raven Threats, Aaliyah Robinson, Fredrick Robinson, Laila Johnson, Labron Johnson, Simiya Whitty, and Colin-David Anderson, Jr.; two godchildren, Sandra and Willie Hootsell; fourteen great-grandchildren; and a host of close cousins who were raised together and considered brothers and sisters.
