Mrs. Liza Williams Obituary

Mrs. Liza Walker Williams was born April 22, 1957, to the late Peter and Lucy Walker in Sondheimer, Louisiana. She was the mother of four children and five grandchildren.

Liza confessed Christ at an early age at Bethlehem Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor C.R. Redden.

In later years, she joined Martin Chapel Baptist Church of Newellton, Louisiana, under the leadership of Pastor Anthony L. Guice, until her death.

Liza went to Transylvania Elementary School and graduated from Reuben McCall High School in Tallulah, Louisiana, to where she later relocated.

Liza was an excellent cook, and she was employed by the Galley on a military base in Gulfport, Mississippi. She was also employed at the sewing factory for several years. Her last employment was at Tyson Foods, until she began to have health issues.

Liza was preceded in death by her parents, the late Peter and Lucy Walker; five brothers, James, Louis, Peter, George, and Gabbie Walker; three sisters, Mary, Hattie, and Linda; one daughter, Marsha Walker; one brother-in-law, Joseph Williams, and two sisters-in-law, Lebertha Williams and Christine Williams Proctor.

Liza was joined in marriage to Mr. Clyde Williams on July 29, 2009. She leaves to cherish her memories: a devoted husband, Clyde Williams; three children, Leo Walker of Las Vegas, NV, Stephanie (William) Green of Orange, TX, and Ivianna James of Tallulah, LA; five grandchildren, Elijah Lee, Michael Chalmers, Kaya Green, Kaylei James, and Karnelius Gray; three sisters, Archie Jett and Carrie Walker, both of Las Vegas, NV, and Brenda Taylor of Vallejo, CA; three sisters-in-law, Verdie Dee, Audrey, and Wanda Williams; four brothers, Cornelius Burrell and O.C. Walker, both of Las Vegas, NV, Tom Walker of Hammond, LA, and George Walker of Tallulah, LA; four brothers-in-law, Howard, Roosevelt, Leon, and Calvin Williams; and  host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
