Obituary

On June 8, 1936, Pearl Leaner Louis was born in Lake Providence, LA, to Esau and Pearl Louis. She confessed Christ at an early age. She was an active member of Pleasant Grove #1 Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor O.W. Hamilton,Jr., in Tallulah, LA, until her untimely departure from this earth.

She attended Griffin High School in East Carroll Parish.

On April 21, 2020, she transcended the bonds of earthly life and ascended into heavenly domains. God, in His awesome might and power, came and released her from this body of flesh and replaced it with a body made especially for her, eternal in the heavens. Her life will be an indelible imprint as a legacy for years to come.

She was preceded in eternal life by her mother, Pearl Louis; her father, Esau Louis; her sisters, Emma and Janie; as well as her daughter, Mary Louis.

She leaves to cherish her legacy and memory: a devoted companion, Henry Lloyd Jr. of Tallulah, LA; sons, Dr. Reverend WLT Littleton (Marlene) of New Orleans, LA, John (Ella) of Monroe, LA, Michael Louis of Vicksburg, Mississippi, and Frederick Louis of Cincinnati, Ohio;  daughters, Doris Washington (Darrin) of Memphis, Tennessee, Betty Broddy of Tallulah, LA, Janet Louis of Memphis, Tennessee, Rose Mary Collins of Mesquite, Texas, and Dr. Closetta Louis-Redden (Gerald) of Tallulah, LA; goddaughters, Willie Mae Johnson of Tallulah, LA Clarissa Williams of Tallulah, LA, Jacquline Singleton-Gray of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Dr. Latricia Kyle of Rayville, LA; and a host of special grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
