Ms. Mary Ann Higgs

 Mary Ann Higgs was born August 18, 1962, in Tallulah, Louisiana. Her parents are the late Rev. Esae and Josephine Higgs and Rosie Jackson-Rone and Richard Brown. She was a graduate of Tallulah High School. She was employed at the Tallulah Health Unit for many years. Mary Ann was a member of Rose Hill Baptist Church in Tallulah, Louisiana, pastored by Rev. Freddie Allen. She was a devoted and beloved mother to three sons, Courtney, William, and Dexter. For 28 years, she was a devoted wife to Issac Fountain. She was a very special and devoted sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to all and loved by everyone. Mary Ann departed this life on May 20, 2020, at St. Francis Hospital in Monroe, Louisiana. She was 57 years old. She was preceded in death by two of her sons, Courtney and Dexter Higgs; her parents; maternal and paternal grandparents; her brother, Richard Rone, Jr.; niece, Kimbra Rone; and an aunt who helped raise her, Maryella Brown. Mary Ann leaves to cherish her memory: her son, William JaJuan Higgs; daughter she helped raise, Jacqueline (Yogi) Woodridge; husband, Isaac Fountain; five sisters, Geraldine (Otis) McClodden, Anne (Roosevelt) Young, Susie (Lee Dennis) Gaines, Patricia (Eugene) Anderson, and Maresa Rone; four brothers, Kenny Rone, Preston Martin, Johnny Grant, and Michael Martin; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as the Brown, Fountain, and Hall families.
