Thelma K. Robertson

Thelma Kline-Robertson was born November 16, 1942, to proud parents, Enoch Kline and Marie Richards. She was welcomed home by a loving, kind, and Christian family who nicknamed her, “NigGal.”

Thelma accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age. She was baptized in 1954 and became a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church under the guidance of Pastor Garfield Israel. She served faithfully as a choir member and Superintendent of Sunday school until God called her home.

Thelma was a product of the Madison Parish School System in Tallulah, LA, where she attended Thomastown School. After graduating from high school, she attended Grambling State University, where she received a degree in education.

Thelma worked for the Madison Parish School System for 28 and a half  years. She was a devoted and loving teacher. She made sure that every child would learn and succeed in life. Teaching was her passion.

Thelma was preceded in death by her late mother and father: Marie and Enoch Kline; her daughter: Tabitha Kline-Rose; three sisters: Agnes Allen, Rhoda Wright, Emma Ree Weston; five brothers: Enoch Kline, Sr., Willie Kline, Emanuel Kline, Sr., Edward Kline, Sr., and Samuel Kline.

Thelma leaves to cherish her memories: two adoring and devoted daughters: Agnes Johnson (Clinton) and Carolyn Thompson; one son: John McClodden, Jr.; two wonderful sons-in-law: Roger Rose, Sr. and Clinton Johnson; three special daughters: Rosie Hudson (Robert), Monica Presley (Charles), and Tashia Fobbs (Darrell); four sisters: Olevia Thompson, Laura Washington (Will), Mary Williams, and Geneva Sanders; 13 grandchildren: Kiara Kline, Jasmine Lee, Roger Rose, Jr., Derral Holmes, Jr., Tommesia Jackson, KeShawanna Hawkins (Jessica), CheQuayla Carter (Leroy), Tanoga Banks, Sonja Johnson, Cartori McDonald, Janecia Lee, Kynsley McClodden, and Jacobie Phillips; 13 great-grandchildren: Don Haggan II, Aubree Williams, Aubree Jackson, Karmyn Jackson, Tiara Banks, Azelia Banks, Davion Johnson, Davoniah Johnson, Le’Christian Carter, Jervontae’ Johnson, Arlarriontae Johnson, Delontae Johnson, and Nicholas Barnard II; one goddaughter: Kawanda Richardson; two special families: The Washington and Johnson families; and many other loving and caring loved ones and friends.
